Abdul Nemri

Clinical Trials Practitioner

Working in clinical research at Oxford Cancer Trials has been an incredibly fulfilling and ever-changing environment since joining the team in December 2023. With the constant efforts from the wider team to bring forward new treatments with varying challenges associated in delivering them, putting this research into action with the research nurses’ team has been a valuable opportunity to build patient facing clinical skills and be able to better understand the patient’s journey within clinical trials.

Having worked previously across several major hospitals in London supporting the pathology services, I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with many different teams and various departments that strive to improve our healthcare providing better patient outcomes. In particular I’ve been especially inspired by the clinical research team at my previous workplace and upon discovering the role of a Clinical Trials Practitioner it seemed only natural I would pair my background in Pharmaceutical Sciences with my experience in healthcare to be a part of the research delivery team.

During my time in this role, I’ve enjoyed being in a position that bridged the gap between collecting source data at bedside and also working closely with study sponsors to ensure the integrity of our research.
